NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY

Support Go Red for Women by wearing Red on Friday, February 2, 2018.

Why Go Red? Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. The good news is with education and lifestyle changes, 80% of cardiac events may be prevented. Go Red for Women advocates for more research and swifter action for women's heart health. On February 2, 2018, please wear RED to show your support. Donations to "Go Red For Women" are also being asked for to help support educational programs to increase women's awareness.

Lead by example and make the time to "Know Your Numbers." It is knowledge that can save your life. The five numbers a woman should know to take control of their life are:

Total Cholesterol
HDL (good) Cholesterol
Blood Pressure
Blood Sugar
Body Mass Index (BMI)

By knowing these numbers, you and your healthcare provider can determine your risk for developing cardiovascular diseases. Please make time to get your numbers. YOUR HEART DEPENDS ON IT! To donate to the great cause, go to www.goredforwomen.org.
