Our Mid-Level Providers

Sheri Wessel, PA

Sheri has been providing mid-level care on weekends in the Emergency Room at Sabetha Community since 2013. She attended Peru State College in Peru, NE for her undergraduate studies before graduating from the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 1994.

Sheri has three daughters, Ashley, Ali and Alaina and she and her husband, Darron, are the parents of two daughters, Camryn and Ellie.

Alan T. Smyth, PA

Sabetha Community Hospital welcomes Alan Smyth! He will be providing coverage in the Emergency Room at Sabetha Community Hospital in late summer. Alan attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He graduated in 1998. During the week, Alan works at the Auburn Family Health Center. Alan is married and he and his wife, Laurie have 2 children, Thomas and Sarah. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and cars.

Beth Kroll, APRN-BC

Beth joined Sabetha Family Practice and began seeing patients on Monday, June 11, 2018. Beth will also provide Emergency Room coverage at Sabetha Community Hospital. Beth attended Baker University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing Practitioner in 2008.

Beth and her husband, Chris, have 5 children. They are Noah, age 13, Benjamin, age 9, Emmett, age 7, Hannah, age 3 and Lauren, two months old. She enjoys reading, baking, fishing, running a hobby farm with her family and activities at their church.

Susan Lueger, APRN

Sabetha Community Hospital would like to welcome Susan Lueger. She began Emergency Room coverage in June 2018. She graduated in May of 2005 from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Gerontology Susan completed her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner at Washburn University the Summer of 2014. When not taking call at the hospital, Susan works as a gastroenterology APRN for Dr. Challa and the Kansas Medical Center in Topeka. Susan and her husband, Brad are the parents of 5 children, twins Anthony and William, age 11, Liza, age 8, Daniel, age 5 and Alex, age 1.

Mackenzie Weldin, APRN

Mackenzie began seeing patients as an Emergency Room Provider at Sabetha Community Hospital in May 2018. Mackenzie received her BSN from Baker and her MSN from Washburn University. She works for St. Francis Campus/KU Med during the week. Mackenzie and her husband, Shawn, have a daughter Eleanor, age 4 and a son Alex, age 2.
